Balconette bras, for lift and an open neckline

Our balconette bras are made with at least 90% organic cotton, with lower-cut cups and wide-set straps for lift under open necklines, and nearly every style comes in XXS to XXXL. Start with the neckline you wear most, then choose the cut that suits it.

What makes a balconette bra different?

The cups are cut lower and straighter across the top than a full cup, and the straps sit wider on the shoulders, so the bra works under square, scoop and off-the-shoulder necklines. The support comes from below: the band and the lower half of the cup do the holding while the top line stays open. If you want more coverage up top, scoop bras have a rounder, higher neckline. Plunge bras sit lower at the front for a deep V, and bandeau bras keep the same open line without straps.

Is a balcony bra the same as a balconette bra?

Yes: balcony bra and balconette bra are two names for the same cut. In a cotton balcony bra like ours, the lift comes mostly from the shape of the cup and the band, and each style says on its own page whether it is padded or non padded.

What are our balconette bras made of?

Every balconette bra here is a cotton bra, made with at least 90% organic cotton and a little elastane for stretch, so it feels soft and moves with you. Every product page lists the exact fabric composition, and our materials page explains how we choose fabrics. None of these styles reach 95%, so if you want a piece made with 95–100% organic cotton, every style at that level is gathered in organic cotton clothing, 95–100%. The styles made with 95% organic cotton are gathered on one page: organic cotton bras, 95%.

Finding your size

Sizes are the same across the range, but fit varies a little between styles, so check the size guide on the one you like, and if you are between sizes, go by the band: it should sit level and feel snug without digging in.

Caring for your bras

Machine wash cold to help the band keep its stretch, and let them air-dry.
