Understanding men's clothing made with 86% to 88% recycled nylon

Most of the styles here are made with 86% to 88% recycled nylon, and others pair 45% cotton with 50% recycled polyester. The same fiber is recorded as polyamide on some product pages.

The benefits of 86% to 88% recycled nylon

Our recycled nylon is typically made with pre-consumer waste. For menswear, the fiber provides the flexibility and resilience needed for everyday wear.

How Organic Basics approaches the fiber

Our men's collections use this nylon across track jackets, track pants and swim shorts. Each product page carries the exact composition for that style.

Applications in men's clothing

The fiber is used across the Track and Swim styles here, and it is appreciated for its stretchability and strength, making it suited to garments that need durability and flexibility. The Swim Shorts and Swim Longline Shorts are cut for the water.

Caring for your nylon garments

To maintain the integrity of these garments, it is recommended to follow specific care instructions. Gentle washing and air drying can prolong the life of these garments, preventing premature wear and tear.

Why choose this fiber?

Opting for men's clothing made with this nylon means choosing a fabric that is stretchy and strong. The collection pairs it with elastane, and with 45% cotton on the Track Straight Leg Pants and Track Zip Jacket.
