The tightest part is at the waist and I did exchange the large for the extra large because I knew I wouldn’t wear them if the waist was uncomfortable. For reference I am 5’9 180 pounds. The XL fits so much better and was so comfortable during Pilates."

I ended up returning anyway because the size small is too tight around my waist and overall I couldn't do much movement in these. but they are very nice, maybe a bigger size was needed (although I'm always a small). i returned also because I would have preferred them a bit more flared and longer, but that's just a style thing (they look how they do on the model in the pics, but I thought I was shorter ;))"
