Better Factories

Always Sustainable

We work with and source from only the best factories in Europe. Together we bring experience and vision to create a better product and a higher standard of sustainable production. We visit our GOTS certified organic cotton farms, and factories in Izmir and Istanbul once every 3 months to make sure there are no unfair, or unsafe industry practices. We sit with the workers, eat lunch in their canteen, and make sure that the factories are socially sustainable. Our factories in Turkey are also audited annually by a third party to ensure the standard is always set.

Made in Europe

Local European factories, and road transportation help reduce our environmental footprint even more. But we’re also focussed on making sure our factories are a good place to work. Humans deserve to be treated like humans, and we wouldn’t want to partner with anything else. When we move parts of our production to Portugal for SilverTech 2.0, the same standard applies: Basically better made. Consciously created. Designed to last. That’s our sustainable business model.

Well Certified

We don’t have trust issues, but when it comes to sustainable fashion, you want to be extra careful not to team up with the pretenders. We only work with certified factories, and some of their certifications are listed below.

GOTS
Global Organic Textile Standard. This is the Michelin guide for organic clothing, and it sets the highest ecological, sustainable and social requirements for pesticide, and insecticide free natural fibers.

SEDEX
Sedex is not actually a certificate, but it’s a not-for-profit membership organisation that empowers ethical supply chains. As Sedex says, they are “making it simpler to do business that’s good for everyone”. Sounds like a good approach.

BSCI
Business Social Compliance Initiative. Companies commit to implementing 11 core labor rights for their workers within their supply chain. It’s an independently audited, step-by-step approach for a better workplace.

OEKO-TEX 100
The STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is a worldwide, consistent, independent testing and certification system for raw, semi-finished, and finished textile products at all processing levels, as well as the accessory materials used in their production.

Packaging, unfortunately.

Shipping out all these products requires packaging. Not the most sustainable thing, you’re right. But we’re always looking to optimise our packaging solutions for the most sustainable option. Currently, we use a poly mailer made from 100% recycled plastic. It’s 100% recyclable, and it features a dual adhesive strip so that you can send your exe’s mixtape back to them without worrying that you’ve caused them some damage. It’s the best option we could find, but if you know of anything better… let’s chat!
