Virgin wool has a costly environmental impact – from the vast amount of land it takes to raise sheep, to the water and chemical usage during production and dyeing – it’s not the most Earth-friendly fabric. But recycled wool is different since the dyeing process is cut entirely – saving water and chemicals and eliminating wastewater entirely. * 64% recycled wool, 31% polyamide (8% Recycled) 4% Other fibers 1% Elastane * Hand wash only. In Braga, Portugal - our recycled wool sock maker has been in business since 1985 making socks and knitwear with the most advanced robotic equipment possible. They can an incredible focus on sustainability and workplace ethics - and they are very well certified in all respects environmental and social. In fact, their factory is 100% run on renewable resources.
